RRB ALP 2025 Educational Qualifications
A) Class 10th Passed with ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air- Conditioning Mechanic.

Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above

B)Class 10th plus 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (OR) combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.
Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering.
RRB ALP 2025 : Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 to 30 years of age as of July 1, 2025.
Age Relaxation
Certain categories of candidates are granted relaxation in the upper age limit:
- Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST): Relaxation of 5 years.
- Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL): Relaxation of 3 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation depends on the length of service.
- UR: Deduction of service length + 3 years.
- OBC: Deduction of service length + 6 years.
- SC/ST: Deduction of service length + 8 years.

The application process for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment under CEN No. 01/2025 is entirely online. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth application experience:
Step 1: Account Creation
- Visit the official RRB website of your chosen region.
- Click on the “Create Account” option.
- Provide your:
- Active mobile number.
- Valid email ID.
- Personal details (name, date of birth, etc.) as per your matriculation certificate.
- Authenticate your identity using Aadhaar for a hassle-free process. If Aadhaar is unavailable, alternate photo IDs can be used, but this may require additional scrutiny.
Note: Details entered during account creation, such as name, mobile number, and email ID, cannot be modified later.
Step 2: Online Application Submission
- Log in using your account credentials.
- Fill out the application form carefully:
- Select your preferred RRB and Railway Zone.
- Provide accurate educational and technical qualification details.
- Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph and signature as per the specified format.
- Double-check all details before submission, as discrepancies may lead to disqualification.
Step 3: Application Fee Payment
- General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹500 (₹400 refundable after appearing in CBT-1).
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Female/Transgender/EBC Candidates: ₹250 (fully refundable after appearing in CBT-1).
Mode of Payment: Fees can only be paid online via:
- Internet banking.
- Debit/Credit cards.
- UPI.

Step 5: Modification Window (if needed)
