Eligibility Criteria for HPCL Graduate Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• Engineering Graduation in:
  • Civil
  • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Instrumentation
• Minimum Marks:
  • 60% aggregate for UR/OBC-NC candidates
  • 50% aggregate for SC/ST/PwBD (VH/HH/OH/MD) candidates

Only candidates who have completed Engineering Graduation after 01 April 2023 are eligible to apply. Candidates who completed their degree before 01 April 2023 are not eligible.

All qualifications must be recognized by UGC/AICTE/Board of Technical Education or equivalent authority.

Age Limit (As on 02-03-2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC-NC: 3 years

Additional Eligibility Conditions

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
• Candidate must be registered and approved on the NATS 2.0 portal and by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT).

  • Completed apprenticeship earlier, OR
  • Are undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere, OR
  • Have one year or more work experience
    are not eligible.
• Multiple applications will be rejected.

Selection Process – HPCL Graduate Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026

The selection methodology includes:

1. Screening of Applications – Based on merit percentage of marks in qualifying examination.
2. Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates (ratio 1:5 per slot) will be called for verification.
3. Merit List Preparation – Based on eligibility and verification.
4. Final Engagement – Candidates will sign a tri-partite apprenticeship contract on the NATS portal, submit medical certificate, and police verification.

Selected Graduate Apprentice Trainees will receive:

• Total Monthly Stipend: Rs. 25,000

Breakup:

• Rs. 20,500 paid by HPCL
• Rs. 4,500 paid directly to apprentices by Government of India under DBT scheme

No additional allowances, housing benefits, or other financial benefits will be provided
