Eligibility is determined by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines. To be eligible for for CTET 2026 February, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria.
Educational Qualifications
For Paper I (Classes I to V)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in final year of D.El.Ed (NCTE recognized) OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of B.El.Ed OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed
For Paper II (Classes VI to VIII)
- Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of D.El.Ed OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed (NCTE recognized) OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed (Special Education)
Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled candidates.
