Medical Standards

• Must be in good mental and bodily health.
• Free from physical deformities and diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, knock-knee, flat foot, etc.
• Should not be colour blind or squint-eyed.
• Eyesight:
  • Distance vision: 6/6 in one eye and not poorer than 6/9 in the other (without correction).
  • Near vision: Normal.
• Varicose vein will be considered as temporary disqualification

Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2025 – Selection Process

The recruitment process for Constable (UB & AB) in Assam Police will be conducted in multiple phases to ensure fair and transparent selection.

Phases of Selection

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Conducted under CCTV surveillance and RFID chips.
• Male (AB):
  • Race (3200m): Maximum 20 marks (time-based scoring).

• Format: 100 MCQs (OMR sheet)

• Maximum 5 marks based on Higher Secondary results:
  • 45–59.99% → 2 marks
  • 60–74.99% → 3 marks
  • 75% and above → 5 marks

Final Merit Calculation

• Final selection list will be prepared strictly based on merit.
• In case of a tie, preference will be given to:
  1. Candidate older in age.
  2. If same age, candidate with higher height
