Eligibility Criteria – AIIMS NORCET 10

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

Option I

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University
  OR
• B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/University
• Must be registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council

Option II

• Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/Board
• Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council
• Two years’ experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after acquiring the qualification

Age Limit for AIIMS NORCET 10

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years (as on last date of application)

Age Relaxation (as per rules):

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years (up to 56 years maximum)
• PwBD + OBC: 13 years (up to 56 years maximum)
• PwBD + SC/ST: 15 years (up to 56 years maximum)
• Ex-Servicemen: Length of military service + 3 years

  • General: 5 years

Selection Process of AIIMS NORCET 10

The selection will be based on two stages of Computer Based Test (CBT):

Stage I – NORCET Preliminary

• Duration: 90 minutes
• Total Questions: 100 MCQs (100 marks)
  • 20 MCQs – General Knowledge & Aptitude
  • 80 MCQs – Nursing syllabus
• Negative Marking: 1/3 marks for each wrong answer
• Divided into 5 sections (18 minutes each)
• This stage is qualifying only and will not be used for merit ranking.

Stage II – NORCET Main

• Candidates who qualify Stage I will appear for Stage II.
• Merit list and final selection will be based on NORCET Main Score.
• Document verification will be conducted by respective AIIMS institutes.

Salary / Pay Scale – AIIMS NORCET 10

• Nursing Officer posts are at Level 07 in Pay Matrix
• Pre-revised Pay Band-2: Rs. 9300 – 34800
• Grade Pay: Rs. 4600/-
